Fernhill Garden Centre is a family run business that was established in 1978 by Christy and Hazel Reid. Today, 40 years on, Fernhill Garden Centre has grown and flourished to become one of Ireland’s leading garden centres and landscape contractors as well as a go-to gardening and lifestyle destination in the Midlands.

Nowadays, the business is run by Christy and Hazel’s children – Eoin and Austin. Sadly, Christy passed away some years ago. But the formidable force that is Hazel is still very much involved, proudly overseeing the growth and development of Fernhill Garden Centre, driven by the next generation of the family. It has received several awards in the past, including a 5-Star Award in the Bord Bia Garden Centre Quality Programme.

At their nine-acre site, Fernhill Garden Centre offer an expansive range of plants, trees, garden furniture, outdoor wicker and metal furniture, BBQs and accessories, pots, gardening tools and gadgets, seeds and bulbs, plant care, garden care, stone, paving, and pond equipment.

Their extensive store is more than just a garden centre with a large lifestyle offering including gorgeous selections of giftware, home and fashion accessories, jewellery; stocking Irish brands such as Shannonbridge Pottery, Julie Clarke Candles, Foxford Woollen Mills, Tipperary Crystal, and Deborah Donnelly to name but a few.

At Fernhill Garden Centre, you’ll always find a friendly face happy to help you with free garden advice from their team of experts and horticulturalists as well as a comprehensive range of garden design services offered bu their award-winning landscaping contractors.

Fernhill Garden Centre offers that complete lifestyle experience with the very popular Savoury Fare garden cafe on site with indoor and outdoor seating as well as kids’ playground, with slides and swings to keep the little ones happy.

The garden centre also provides a landscaping service, which has been highly recognised and accredited among the Irish landscaping industry and received a number of awards and certificates from the Association of Landscape Contractors of Ireland (ALCI) and Bord Bia.

No project is too big or small for the landscaping team; working on maximising space regardless of whether it is in a small, private garden, or a large, commercial space.
