The Irish Landscape Institute (ILI) has announced a half-day seminar entitled “Green Infrastructure and Health in Ireland” to take place on Thursday, February 14.

The conference will take place in Malahide Castle and Gardens’ visitor centre and will go on from 9.15am to 2.30pm.

There will be multiple speakers providing contextual and informative presentations on the topic of green infrastructure and health in Ireland:

  • Urban green space and obesity in older adults: Evidence from Ireland
    Speakers: Dr Anne Nolan, the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and Dr Seraphim Dempsey, Trinity College Dublin (TCD).
  • Nature-based solutions for urban health and well-being. Speakers: Dr Marcus Collier, TCD.
  • Green and blue spaces and health: A health-led approach. Speakers: Ronan Foley, Michael Brennan, Gerald Mills, Tine Ningal, and Malachy Bradley.

The event is complementary to members of the ILI; non-members will be charged €92.25, including VAT, while student tickets will cost €6.15 including VAT. To register for the event, click here.
