CAFRE to host integrated pest management for field production event
On 7 February, Koppert’s technical consultant and entomologist, Dr Richard Binks will deliver a talk on the topic

On 7 February, CAFRE will host Koppert’s technical consultant and entomologist, Dr Richard Binks, to deliver a talk on the topic of ‘Integrated Pest Management for Field Production’.
The event will place at 7pm at the Training Centre, Horticulture Centre, Greenmount Campus 45 Tirgracy Rd, Antrim.
Dr Binks has over 30 years of entomological and IPM project management experience working in horticultural and agricultural settings around the world. He will share Koppert’s latest developments of biological and IPM systems for growers and farmers producing both organic and conventionally grown outdoor crops. His work to date has included developing insect pest control strategies using entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN’s), as well as developing augmentative insect release strategies in root and salad crops.
