Tickets for the Garden and Landscape Designer Association (GLDA) Annual Seminar are now on sale.

Taking place 25 February, the theme for this year’s seminar is ‘Letting Nature In’ – Listening to the rhythm of nature and capturing its essence in the designed landscape’.

Organised in association with Bord Bia, the event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry, Dublin where it will host several speakers who will examine why we should be making space for nature in our gardens and the benefits of doing so. Speakers confirmed to date include: Randal Plunkett of Dunsany Estate, Mary Reynolds and Barry Kavanagh.

Last year’s GLDA seminar focused on Trees and the part they can play in addressing and mitigating climate change. The 2023 seminar will build on this by focusing on the important role gardens can play in deepening our understanding of nature and how we are dependent on it for the future health of the planet. Our changing attitudes to gardens will be examined as well as the positive role they can play in addressing habitat loss and climate change.

The GLDA is an organisation for garden designers, horticulturists and landscape designers. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in gardens or garden design.

Pricing for tickets, which are available to purchase online, is as follows:

  • GLDA members (€95)
  • Non-Members (€125)
  • Students (€60 including 1 year membership)
  • Friends (€145 including 1 year subscription).
