Two rhododendron management contracts on offer from Killarney National Park
Requires removal of invasive Rhododendron Ponticum, as well as a detailed study of the level of infestation within the park
9 March 2023
At Growtrade, we highlight public procurement opportunities from around Ireland that would be suitable to landscapers, growers, turfgrass professionals, horticulturalists, and forestry professionals.
As part of their ongoing rhododendron management programme, Killarney National Park is requesting tenders for two projects related to the control of rhododendron.
The first is for the removal of invasive Rhododendron Ponticum from the park, which significantly prevents woodland regeneration resulting in a poor age structure of the native woodlands within the park.
