Bord Bia will host the first virtual Spring Trolley Fair, supporting the Irish Hardy Nurserystock Association (IHNSA) in conjunction with IFA. Kicking off 9 March at 9:30am, the marketplace event marks the start of the Irish Nursery season.

Bord Bia is inviting exhibitors and visitors alike to attend the online seminar, which will focus on providing insight and information to support business growth.

During the event, Bord Bia will launch its latest research, conducted by The Thinking House, the IPSOS ‘Value of the Garden Market Report 2020’ and a new qualitative study, ‘Preparing for a post-Covid19 Horticultural World’, which measures attitudes and understanding of consumers and industry experts – how new and returning gardeners have entered the market during Covid restrictions and how to retain them.

Speakers at the Spring Plant fair event include:

  • Tara McCarthy, CEO, Bord Bia – The Irish Food Board
  • Grace Binchy, insights and trends specialist, Bord Bia
  • Linda Walsh, director, Ipsos
  • Carol Marks, sector manager, horticulture – nuseries, garden centres, Bord Bia
