The search to find the world’s most loved parks and green spaces has begun.

Every year, the Green Flag Award winning parks from across the globe enter into the ‘People’s Choice Award’. As the name suggests, this award is voted for by the public, and recognises the best loved green spaces internationally.

Throughout the past few years’ parks and green spaces have been especially important for us to walk, exercise, explore relax and unwind. And in over 2,300 parks and green spaces were awarded with a Green Flag Award in the 2021-22 season.

International accreditation for public park excellence in Ireland increased again last year, when Ireland was awarded a total of 103 Green Flag sites, comprised of 84 formal public Green Flag Park sites, along with 19 volunteer run Green Community Sites.

Now you can show your thanks for the dedication of park staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to manage and maintain them by casting a vote for your favourite of the bunch.

To vote for your park or green space, hit the voting button on your park profile page on the Green Flag Award website. Your park profile page can be found by searching the interactive map on the winners tab at: https://www.greenflagaward.org/award-winners/

The top park from each country will be announced at the International Virtual Awards Ceremony on 9 February. The ceremony will be broadcast as a YouTube premier at 9am GMT. Register for your place now at: eventbrite.co.uk/
