The Chartered Institute of Horticulture (CIH) has been forced to postpone its annual Leadership Innovation and Growth conference due to falling delegate numbers.

The one day conference was due to take place on Wednesday 4 November at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham as part of the SALTEX 2015 show. The event has now been postponed until early 2016.

Created for those professionally engaged in horticulture in the UK and Ireland, the Chartered Institute of Horticulture conference provides an opportunity to gain insight and analyse trends from industry leaders and network with peers.

Andrew Gill, president of the CIH said there was an ‘insufficient number of delegates to make the event viable’. “We are sorry we had to take this decision at such a late stage and I apologise to those who had made travel and accommodation arrangements,” he added. “This decision is in no way related to the Institute’s partners or the conference venue. The Institute hopes to reconvene the conference in early 2016.”
