Claregalway Castle will once again host the annual Galway Garden Festival on Saturday, 5 July and Sunday, 6 July, from 11am to 6pm each day.

Now a staple event in the Irish gardening calendar, the festival features a wide range of nurseries, rare plant specialists, and members of the Irish Specialist Nurseries Association (ISNA).

It offers an opportunity for gardeners of all levels to receive practical advice and guidance on suitable plant choices for different growing conditions.

Attendees will have the chance to speak informally with plant experts and purchase high-quality, Irish-grown plants adapted to local conditions.

Exhibitors will include Coldblow Nursery, Kilmurry Nursery, Shady Plants, Three Gates Florist & Nursery, Crooked Boot Farm Nursery, and more.

In addition to plant sales and horticultural displays, the festival will include Irish craft stalls, food vendors, and a live music programme featuring performances by St Patrick’s Brass Band, The Galway Baytones, The Claregalway Choir, and The Pocket Jazz Orchestra.

Family-friendly entertainment will be provided by Yer Mans Puppets and Nemo the Magician. Light refreshments will be available all day at the Castle Tea Rooms, and lunch will be served by Handsome Burger.

Admission:

  • General entry: €15
    Senior citizens and students: €10
  • Children under 16: Free
