Focusing on design styles and consumer demands for spring/summer 2021, the Consumer and Design Trends Seminar, exclusively for the Garden Industry Manufacturer’s Association (GIMA) members, will offer them the chance to stay ahead of the curve and develop a product offering that taps into forthcoming trends on March 26, at VOCO St John’s, Solihull.

The day-long event will shine the spotlight on key lifestyle and outdoor fashions set to be big in 2021, how consumers are expected to shop in the year ahead, and will also highlight key design cues that are expected to influence bestselling lines.

Delegates will also learn how this insight can help to future-proof new product development, visual merchandising, packaging, and marketing plans.

Taking inspiration from around the world, and from the dynamic world of interiors and fashion, the day will feature a series of presentations on emerging trends with a focus on image rich content that will help these trends take shape.

Colour, textures, and patterns will all feature highly, whilst key garden retail product categories – including garden pots and planters; gloves, boots, clothing, and textiles; hard landscaping, materials, and surfaces; garden lighting; garden décor; ornaments; water features and structures; garden furniture and accessories; and packaging, labeling, merchandising, and displays – will be addressed to help further translate these trends.

Scarlet Opus will also be offering a half-day’s consultancy free-of-charge to all companies that attend the conference. This one-to-one opportunity will help suppliers hone the content that they learnt during the conference and explore ways that they can implement this knowledge within their own new product road map.
