Farmleigh Plant Fair, which was due to take place 30 August, has been cancelled.

“With a heavy heart we are so sorry to send on the sad news yet again this year,” began a statement from the Irish Specialist Nursery Association.

The event cancellation is result of recent government amendments to Covid-19 regulations. Under the new guidelines, no more than six people can attend most indoor events, while outdoor events have been limited to 15 attendees.

“We have had the princely sum of one plant fair this year, hopefully all will be better in 2021,” continued the statement. “Thank you all for your support during this horrendous year for us all.”
