ESB Tree Week, organised by the Tree Council of Ireland since 1985 is a week long programme of events to celebrate trees. The event is  sponsored by the ESB in association with Coillte. ESB Tree Week 2016 runs from Sunday March 6th until Sunday March 13th.

Over the week events will be held nationwide and aim to encourage the public to appreciate the importance of trees and the role they play not only in people’s lives but also on the landscapes around them. Events are currently being planned in every county and range from tree walks to identification workshops.
