The Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI)

DBEI has a wealth of information for the trade concerning business supports for working capital as well as an entire list of other governmental support. DBEI also has established a Business Support Call Centre for information on the government supports available to businesses and enterprises affected by COVID-19 through the following contact details: Tel: +353 1 631 2002 and Email: infobusinesssupport@dbei.gov.ie.

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM)

DAFM is working with other government departments and the Health Service Executive (HSE) as part of governmental response to Covid-19. On DAFM’s website, there is information covering the different sectors controlled by DAFM.

Teagasc

Teagasc’s Horticulture Development Department has developed some focused factsheets and resources for the broad horticulture sectors in response to COVID-19.

Teagasc’s “COVID 19: Guidelines and Recommendations for Safeguarding staff on Horticulture facilities” contains a lot of information for growers to update their training, policies, and manage physical distancing at an operational level. It also provides an opportunity to mitigate the potential negative impacts of incidence and spread of Covid-19 among staff.

Bord Bia

In response to Covid-19, Bord Bia looks to provide the industry with relevant insight and information. Bord Bia has launched market insight podcasts as well as a series of webinars to help business adapt during this time of uncertainty. Other information is also available including information on grant schemes and supports.

The Government of Ireland’s Covid-19 webpage contains useful information regarding the latest statistics, health advice, social welfare advice, as well as information from across the government.
