Catherine FitzGerald, a garden designer has collaborated with Minnie Preston of Ballintubbert Gardens and House to organize a two-day event featuring presentations, workshops, organic cuisine, garden tours, foraging sessions, and more.
“We’re thrilled to see the Festival of Gardens and Nature return to Ballintubbert House, Co Laois for its third year, continuing to evolve as a thoughtful and inspiring gathering,” co-founder and landscape architect, Catherine FitzGerald, said.

It all comes down to learning the newest techniques for designing a gorgeous, ecologically sustainable garden as well as discovering more about the natural world.
The festival features a varied range of international speakers from the fields of contemporary garden design, horticulture, historic gardens, fungi, food growing, environmental conservation, and biodiversity.
This year’s line-up of speakers includes Dan Pearson, Shane Connolly, Sarah Raven, Jimi Blake, James Hitchmough, Jo Thompson, Adam Nicolson, Catherine FitzGerald, Rory O’Connell, Katy Merrington, Dominic West, Anja Murray, Isabel Bannerman, Tom Coward and many more.
