The Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom will host Flowers and Plants of Europe this year, bringing together senior figures from EU and UK floriculture and horticulture to discuss shared opportunities and challenges, and to celebrate the rich diversity and economic value of flowers and plants in both regions.

The event will take place on the 28th April at Europe House in London from 16:30 to 20:00, and will feature an expert panel discussion followed by a networking reception showcasing a range of flowers, plants, seeds and horticultural products.

Flowers and Plants of Europe is an excellent opportunity for companies to promote their image and show activities through corporate sponsorship-collaboration with the European Union Delegation to the United Kingdom.

At 17:10, an expert panel will explore the opportunities and challenges facing the EU and UK floriculture and horticultural sectors and trade. The discussion will address key issues including cross-border trade, supply chain resilience, sustainability, and skills development.

Confirmed panellists include:

  • Sylvie Mamias, secretary general, Union Fleurs, representing the EU and global flower trade
  • Miet Poppe, secretary general, AVBS, leading the European Nursery Stock Association’s Erasmus+ project
  • Jennifer Pheasey, director, UK Horticultural Trades Association, representing 1,400 businesses across UK environmental horticulture
  • Mark Jan Terwindt, CEO, Royal Anthos, Dutch trade association for traders in flower bulbs and nursery stock products

From 18:15, guests are invited to enjoy a drinks and nibbles reception, with a curated display of flowers, plants, seeds and other horticultural products highlighting the quality, variety and innovation found across the EU and UK sectors.
