GLAS 2016 is set to be the biggest show yet according to organisers, with bookings strong and many exhibitors already confirmed for the July 21st event. GLAS is Ireland’s leading trade show catering for the horticulture, sportsturf, landscape and amenity industries in Ireland.

This year GLAS will be larger than ever with additional stands having been added following a high demand from both national and international companies wishing to have a presence at the show. To date organisers say “stands are being booked quickly with nearly 50% of them already booked. Anyone looking to have a stand at this year’s show will want to act quickly”.

The show now in its sixth year, has firmly established itself as a key annual event for anyone working in the industry. The event, which is held in Citywest Convention Centre, proved extremely popular last year with a record high number of exhibitors in attendance and a record number of visitors passing through the doors of the one day event.

This year GLAS will introduce seminars to the event line up. The seminars will allow visitors to attend and secure CPD points essential to keeping them up to date in the areas of SUD and invasive species. Organisers explain that these seminars will be free to attend but that registration will be required as they are expecting demand for them to be high. Detailed timetables for the seminars will be available on the GLAS website in the lead up to the show.

“Attendance for GLAS 2016 is free to visitors in the trade, with those wishing to attend simply having to register when you and your colleagues arrive, or you can pre-register now on our website to receive your badge in advance” explained organisers.

Speaking at last year’s show Minister Hayes highlighted the importance the one day trade only event has on the Irish horticulture industry saying “To remain competitive every business must constantly seek to improve efficiency, to reduce costs and to maximise quality and service. GLAS provides the only one-day opportunity to meet all the key producers, buyers, suppliers and service providers to allow your business develop.”

Visit the GLAS website to stay up to date with this year’s show and to register to attend. Companies wishing to book a stand at the show can email event organiser Mark Ryan at markryan@mediateam.ie for more information.
