The annual Garden Landscape and Amenity Sportsturf (GLAS) trade show which attracts top producers, growers, manufacturers, and key opinion leaders across the horticultural sector in Ireland, as well as the UK and Europe, is postponed for 2020.

The event, supported by Bord Bia, was originally scheduled to take place at Citywest events centre and hotel in Saggart, County Dublin, on July 16.

The decision by the organisers of GLAS, Mediateam, in partnership with Bord Bia, was taken to ensure compliance with all measures and directives, including the government’s “Roadmap to Recovery”, to safeguard the public during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

“The safety and well-being of our audience, exhibitors, partners, and staff during the current Covid-19 emergency is our key priority.”, said John McDonald, managing director of Mediateam.

“We are in constant contact with our venue; event partner, Bord Bia; and, through the Irish Exhibition Organisers’ association, our elected representatives and government departments involved in the show. In the meantime, we are working to provide an alternative GLAS event in autumn/winter 2020, which we will publicise the details of in due course.”, said McDonald.

A full GLAS trade show is scheduled to return July 2021. Feedback and input from the industry is welcomed and is encouraged to be shared with Mediateam, here.
