Here is one such tender for grounds maintenance professionals which will include cutting, strimming, and weed control in selected areas, from Galway County Council.

Detailed description

The works shall include the regular cutting, strimming, and weed control of identified grass areas in Ballinasloe Town, County Galway, during the period of March 1-October 31, 2020.

The contractors’ rates shall include for the preparation of site specific risk assessments, method statements, and temporary traffic management plans as required.

Tenderers should note that this contract is being issued in three parts:

Part A – Grass cutting services for public areas in Ballinasloe Town.
Part B – Grass cutting services for estates in Ballinasloe Town.
Part C – Additional herbicide application in Ballinasloe Town in areas outside of grass cutting areas Part A and B, as directed by Galway County Council.

Part B and C are subject to funding allocation which may not occur. Part B and C are therefore to be considered provisional items if and until funding is allocated.
