1. Seeking: New Product Development Manager, Horticulture, Co Dublin, Ireland.

About the Role

A senior management position, this role will involve:

  • Working closely with the company’s creative Director, to set the NPD strategy for individual customer groups.
  • Management of end to end process, concept to launch of innovative and market leading plant based gift solutions that are commercially viable and relevant to specific key calendar trade events.
  • Working with and influencing Far East and European supply base as well as internal Production, Operations and Commercial sales stakeholders to ensure on time delivery of agreed products featured in customer trade plans.
  • Budget and stock management ensuring all product launches are in line with company profitability targets and retailer pricing policy and specification.
  • The development of “Best in Class” finished product to add value to our brand.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a creative NNPD manager with a love of indoor and outdoor plants. Preferably educated to degree level or with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, the person we are looking for will have a colourful edge, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for bringing the joy of plants to people’s lives.

You will be able to work effectively with a number of stakeholders and points of contact throughout the supply chain. You will be proficient in MS office suite and have a lot of freedom to bring your creative talents to life and bring new products to commercial reality.

2. Seeking: Commercial Manager, Horticulture, Co. Dublin, Ireland.

About the Role

The commercial manager (CM) will take the lead on the overall development and delivery of Budgeted seasonal Sales and profitability targets. The CM will build and manage the business unit seasonal trade plans and set sales & purchasing price targets for all indoor and outdoor plant supplies.

Central to this will be client specific plant and product specification compliance where these will be implemented at executive and operative levels.

A helicopter view of the wider horticultural industry at home and abroad will be a critical component of this role and some travel is required in order to support market research trips at home and abroad.

Leading from the front, the CM will manage and develop an existing sub team of client specific sales executives. Interpersonal and team building skills will be key to managing and supporting this team of professionals who interface with client buyers and strive to deliver profitable growth, in a highly competitive and seasonal sensitive market place.

Specifics include:

  • Build client specific retail trade plans, evaluate and sign off on pricing and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Analyse and manage market performance.
  • Plan the negotiation strategy.
  • Organise the sales event calendar and lead the negotiations.
  • Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders i.e. finance, production, new product development, and operations.
  • Identify and report key issues to senior management.
  • Sense check and sign off on draft and final versions of main body, annexes, and related documents for all trade plans
  • Coordinate the internal sign-off process and closing of contracts in accordance with the authorisation levels set.
  • Notify relevant stakeholders of the contract signing and volume agreements.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a commercial manager who is innovative. Preferably educated to degree level and a highly influential individual with an underlying passion for sales and horticulture, an inherent drive to positively challenge the status quo, an engaging and proactive can do approach, and an ability to seek out, identify and embrace market opportunities are all critical characteristics of the person who will be successful in this role.

A proven ability in the management of a same similar FMCG role with a 5yr+ experience of delivering profitable growth, in a fast paced multi-stakeholder commercial function is desirable.

3. Seeking: Account Manager Supermarkets, Horticulture, Co. Dublin, Ireland.

About the Role

The account manager supermarkets (AMS) will take the lead on the overall development and seasonal management of Uniplumo trade plans across all supermarket clients.

Sales & Purchasing of indoor and outdoor plants is central to this role, as is the requirement for strong plant and plant specification compliance, process, and a helicopter view of the wider horticultural industry at home and abroad in order to deliver a market leading range supported by market leading trends and innovation.

Reporting to the commercial manager, the AMS will manage and develop all supermarket multiple accounts.

A proven ability in the management of a same or similar FMCG role with a proven track record on delivery of profitable growth, in a fast paced multi-stakeholder sales function is desirable.

Specific Include:

  • Build client specific retail trade plans, evaluate and propose pricing and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Analyse and manage commercial risk.
  • Plan the negotiation strategy.

We are looking for a dynamic accounts manager who will challenge the status quo and look to bring supermarket horticulture to the next level.

Educated to degree level or with a minimum of five years experience in a similar role the ideal candidate will be a highly personable individual with strong emotional intelligence capabilities.

Relationship and product management from sourcing through launch are key activities in this role as is the ability to understand individual customer placement in the market.

An influential individual with an underlying passion for horticulture, an inherent drive to challenge the status quo, an engaging positive and proactive can do approach, and an ability to scan the market, identify and embrace opportunities are all critical elements to be successful in this role. The ideal candidate must have excellent plant knowledge.
