Local authorities and other amenity professionals are increasingly looking for alternatives to traditional chemical spraying. Whilst these can reduce pesticide usage, they are often costly, less effective, and can raise other concerns around safety and environmental impact. This is a recognition of its environmental profile and low volume of residual active ingredient (20 grams/hectare) required to deliver long-lasting control.

One application of Nomix Dual per year will control weeds present at the point of application and control regrowth for several months afterwards. This reduces the need for further applications of glyphosate, reducing overall volumes applied when viewed across the growing season.

A single application also reduces operational inputs. As a result, the costs associated with weed control can be reduced whilst delivering a reduction in herbicide usage.

Achieve a reduction in glyphosate application

By using Nomix Dual, the requirement for a further application of glyphosate is dramatically reduced. Where three sprays of conventional glyphosate annually are replaced with one application of Nomix Dual, followed by one further application of Nomix TDC Hilite, glyphosate use is reduced by around 53%. Where two sprays of conventional glyphosate annually are replaced with a single Nomix Dual application, glyphosate use can be reduced by 70%.
