Illegal PPPs and withdrawn active substances for growers from April

Two active substances will see their last date of sale by authorisation holder happen on April 30. Separately, the use of 11 plant protection products is now illegal due to their respective registrations either being expired or revoked.

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s (DAFM) Pesticide Registration and Control Division (PRCD), informs the trade on Plant Protection Products which have had their registrations revoked or expired, rendering their use illegal. The PRCD also provides information regarding active substances which will be withdrawn from the Irish market.

Recent Active Substance Withdrawals

The active substances listed below have recently been subject to EU regulatory action and all products containing these active substances will be withdrawn from the market in Ireland. The various grace periods for sale and use of products containing these active substances are described below.

It should be noted that grace periods shorter than the usual six month sale plus 12 month use-up are prescribed in some instances.
