Bord Bia Bloom has opened applications for designers and landscape architects interested in creating a Show Garden at the 2027 festival, which will take place in Dublin’s Phoenix Park over the June bank holiday weekend.
The annual call invites talented designers from Ireland and overseas to develop gardens for one of the country’s leading horticultural events, offering an opportunity to showcase their work to more than 90,000 visitors and media.
Applicants must demonstrate the talent, ambition and capacity to take a garden from initial concept through design to completion during the eight-month preparation period leading up to the festival.
Opportunity to showcase design talent
Taking part in Bloom offers designers the opportunity to collaborate with sponsors, build professional networks and develop their portfolios while presenting their work to a large public audience.
The Show Gardens form an important part of the festival, providing a platform for designers and landscape architects to demonstrate their creativity, technical skills and approach to garden design.
For emerging and established professionals alike, participation offers the opportunity to gain visibility and showcase their work at a high-profile event.
Applications close in November
Designers interested in creating a Show Garden at Bloom 2027 must submit their entries by 1pm on Thursday, 26 November 2026.
