Develop your horti-skills with the Dublin School of Horticulture
Since 1999 the Dublin School of Horticulture has been offering part-time day or night courses of study for Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Qualifications.
23 April 2018
The Dublin School of Horticulture (DSH) is offering both theory and practical courses in amenity horticulture – Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Level 2 Certificate and Diploma and RHS Level 3 Theory – and bespoke short courses: DSH Right Plant Right Place and DSH Practical Planting courses.
DSH tutors have experience in all areas of the industry and their courses are aimed at those working in landscaping, landscape architecture, garden centres and nurseries, as well as keen gardeners and those contemplating an academic career.
Carl Dacus, co-founder of DSH said: “Many people involved in the landscaping industry have good hard landscaping skills but may need to up-skill in the following areas: plant content, soil requirements, nutrients and growth patterns, the effects of the water table, climate, and aspect for a given project.
“We have put together a programme which should cover many of the most essential aspects in this important and interesting area of horticulture. We aim to stimulate an in-depth appreciation of all aspects of suburban, rural, and industrial planting, and will encourage the participants to feel confident to recommend plants to clients or customers.”
Check out www.dsh.ie for a listing of HR courses. Costs and venue of each course is included. If further details are required contact Carl Dacus on 00353-1-214-8469 or via email carl@dsh.ie.
