FloraCulture International (FCI) is inviting ornamentals growers from around the world to join a free webinar that will help them learn from the experience of others and define the right path for their own business as they recover from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The free 1.5-hour webinar will take place on Tuesday, June 30, at 4pm Central European Summer Time (CEST) and will provide listeners with anecdotes from industry leaders about overcoming the adversity brought on by Covid-19 protection measures.

Facilitated by experienced webinar organiser, Jungle Talks, and supported by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), the webinar will open with a presentation from Dr Charlie Hall, Ellison chair in International Floriculture, Texas A&M University, US.

Dr Hall will outline the approach that growers need to take in reviewing their businesses and determining next steps.

After Dr Hall’s presentation, there will be presentations from Arie van den Berg of Van den Berg Roses, the Netherlands; and Toine Overgaag of Westerlay Orchids, California, US.

Van de Berg and Overgaag will share their experiences in handling the crisis and their plans for the future. After the presentations, there is a chance for webinar participants to ask questions and discuss strategies.

“FCI is delighted to be working with Jungle Talks to offer this great online event for growers around the world. In line with our ethos to provide the best possible information and guidance for growers, free of charge, we are looking forward to this launch webinar as we continue to develop our online resources for growers”, said FCI editor, Ron van der Ploeg.
