Ferris streamlines parts distribution to Europe

Ferris shifts EMEA parts distribution to The Netherlands, ensuring faster deliveries, reduced costs, and stronger support for commercial mowing customers
25 August 2025
Ferris, a leading name in commercial mowing solutions, has announced a major change in its parts distribution strategy for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
All Ferris parts for EMEA markets will now be stocked and shipped from Briggs & Stratton’s European Distribution Center (EDC) in The Netherlands, moving away from the previous U.S.-based Menomonee Falls Distribution Center (MFDC).
Strategic shift
This strategic shift marks a significant milestone in Ferris’ growing footprint across Europe and is designed to better serve its expanding professional customer base.
The decision was driven by a combination of persistent logistical challenges and rising customer expectations.
In general, distributors in EMEA have faced long lead times, high freight costs, and delays due to customs and time zone differences when sourcing parts from the U.S.
Moreover, the global inventory model based in MFDC often led to stock mismatches and a lack of prioritization for critical EMEA-specific parts.
With its new EDC-based distribution model, Ferris is taking a regional-first approach.
Inventory decisions
This means inventory decisions will now be based on European seasonality, product mix, and real-time demand, enabling faster delivery cycles and more efficient service.
The EDC will ensure that high-priority and fast-moving parts are stocked locally, reducing reliance on global shipments and minimizing delays.
This change also reflects Ferris’ commitment to strengthening its partnership with authorized distributors and dealers.
Only those carrying Ferris machines will have access to the parts network, ensuring alignment between sales and after-sales support.
The result is maximum efficiency, improved planning capabilities, and long-term protection for distributors through structured territory agreements.
Additionally, the EDC will support parts access for Snapper, Simplicity, Murray, and Briggs & Stratton engines, enhancing service offerings across the network.
Ultimately, this transition underlines Ferris’ intent to become a true regional player.
By investing in local infrastructure and empowering its distributor network, the company aims to deliver the speed, agility, and reliability that commercial users in EMEA demand—today and in the future.
